Anamaria Marinca bio

Anamaria is an Romanian actor. Her first screen appearance was in Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 movie for where she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as the best actress. Fluent in French, German and English. Her mother was a violinist, and her father is professor of theater at one the top drama schools in Romania. The award was presented to her as the Best Female Actor of the Year in 2000 Award in The Young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008, she was honoured as"a European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She was a teacher for four seasons at the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu in Iasi. bAnamaria Marina is an Romanian actor, born to Iasi Romania on 1 April 1978. The debut film of the actress, SexTraining, was a winner of the BAFTA Award in Best Actress. She also won numerous awards for her part in the movie 4 Months 3 Weeks 2 Days, a Romanian film that was widely acclaimed by the London Film Critics as the best movie of 2007. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 saptamani si 2 zile (4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Days) directed by Cristian Mungiu, which won the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). In addition, she appeared in the film by Francis Ford Coppola Youth Without Youth. She also played Yasim Awar in BBC's 5-episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca appeared in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. In the following year, she was the lead role in 2014's Fury in which she played Irma the German maternal aunt to Emma.
